Wow.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the shows over the last couple of days. It’s been absolutely incredible to play an album we’re incredibly proud of to such lovely people. A massive thank you to Sophie and Dave for their absolutely magical string contribution, and to Pete and Haydn for making the shows happen.

In slightly less good news, we’d like to extend an unreserved apology to anyone who was expecting to see us at Xmas Trees on Fire in Cheltenham today. We had to cancel our appearance this evening as Jim has been battling some spectacular tonsillitis which has peaked today. He hasn’t eaten for about four days and can’t really hear out of one ear, and consequently we couldn’t ask him to keep killing himself every night. I hope you understand, and enjoy Hymns, Tall Ships and Crazy Arm – as well as everyone else on the bill obviously.

We’re going to be taking a bit of a break from UK shows for a while now, but we look forward to seeing you all again really soon.

We’re rapidly heading towards our final show with the absolutely brilliant Lite at Ekko  in Utrecht tomorrow. We’ve had an incredible couple of weeks with what we all regard as some of the best human beings on the planet. All the shows have been unbelievable, and you guys showing out in force has made it really special, so thank you.

It’s absolutely impossible to pick highlights under these circumstances, but selling out the Borderline in London has to be an all time high for us.

We now head in to the last leg of shows, which we play on our own over the coming week…
